Introduction

Master’s Program in Educational Management, Graduate School, UNY was opened in 1995 based on the decree from Directorate General of Higher Education No.378/Dikti/Kep/1995. This study program was initially conducted to serve students from member states of the Non-Aligned Movement. Then, based on the decree from Directorate General of Higher Education No.74/Dikti/Kep/2000, the program was officially opened to the public including local and international students. The decree of establishment was always renewed following the existing regulation. This study program holds the latest decree of establishment No.331/DIKTI/Kep/2000 and the operational permit No.3022/D/T/2004. In 2009, the study program succeeded to achieve ‘A’ predicate (SK BAN-PT No.022/BAN-PT/Ak-IV/S2/II/2009) from the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT). Now, its accreditation is ‘A’ (SK BAN PT No.0775/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/III/2017) valid from 21 March 2017 until 21 March 2022.
